      Lessons For Kids

Music lessons should be engaging, encouraging, and confidence-building. My goal is to create an environment where children feel supported while developing strong musical skills that last.

Whether a child is beginning piano or voice, lessons start with the fundamentals and build a solid foundation. Piano students learn notes, rhythm, and basic technique before progressing to playing with both hands and reading music with ease. Voice students are introduced to healthy vocal habits, pitch awareness, breath, and tone in an age-appropriate and positive way.

Every child learns differently, so lessons are tailored to each student’s personality, interests, and goals. I use a variety of materials to keep kids engaged, including books, hands-on activities, rhythm games, flashcards, and age-appropriate technology that supports learning in a fun and effective way.

For students under the age of seven, I ask that a parent be involved during lessons and practice at home. From experience, having a parent act as a supportive partner greatly improves a child’s progress and confidence.

Above all, lessons are designed to help children enjoy learning, feel proud of their accomplishments, and grow not only as musicians, but as confident, motivated young people.
