  Voice Lessons

I can honestly say that singing was my first love. As a voice teacher, I draw upon thirty years of singing which includes training at the highest level. I was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, which is known as a Mecca for opera singers. The technique I teach comes from a lineage starting with Andrew White, who was renowned for consistently achieving an even range and a full, quality "top register" with all of the singers whom with he worked. The beauty, quality, and healthy production of the tone throughout each note of the range are the primary goals in our voice lessons. Moreover, the technique I teach is designed to protect one's voice and promote vocal growth throughout a singer's career.

I also help prepare singers by helping them build a strong foundation in musicianship. My voice students become comfortable playing their parts on the piano and learn the incredible value of sight-singing. In short, they transform their voices into instruments and gain the freedom to sing any genre of music they choose, be it musical theater, opera, oratorio or pop music.

I keep lessons relaxed and informal and take pride in a detailed and positive approach.
