Aslan Arias

About Aslan Arias, J.D.

I grew up in a performing arts family and began studying piano and close-up magic at an early age. Music and performance were woven into daily life, and by my early teens it was clear that this world would shape my path.

At 14, I began formal voice training with William Seale at the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio. By 20, I was studying with renowned voice teacher Andrew White, celebrated for his work with legendary baritone Sherrill Milnes of the Metropolitan Opera. This lineage emphasized beauty of tone, consistency throughout the range, and healthy, sustainable vocal production - principles that continue to guide my teaching today.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Music Education, with a minor in Public Speaking, in 1998. During my undergraduate years, I won several vocal competitions and performed with the Cincinnati Opera, appearing in productions of Otello, The Flying Dutchman, and Rigoletto. I graduated with highest honors and was awarded a scholarship to attend the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

Before earning my Juris Doctor in 2001, I taught piano and voice for over five years, helping students prepare for careers in opera and musical theater. Following law school, I practiced law for eight years, specializing in federal securities, real estate, and contract litigation - an experience that strengthened my communication skills, precision, and ability to guide students with clarity and structure.

In 2010, I returned fully to my creative roots and opened my own music studio - a decision that remains one of the most rewarding of my life. I have now taught for over twenty years, with consistent success in developing confident, skilled pianists and singers. I take great joy in witnessing moments of breakthrough, encouraging students through challenges, and equipping them with the tools needed to reach their full potential.

My teaching blends high standards with encouragement, structure with creativity, and discipline with genuine enjoyment. Watching confidence grow alongside skill is at the heart of what I do.
